Over 80 principals from some of Cape Town’s top schools attended an exclusive function at the Crystal Towers Hotel & Spa in Century City 2 weeks ago.

The function marked the official launch of the GetAhead School Project (GSP). GSP, an initiative of EvaluNet, is a campaign to put “educational software into the hands of each and every schoolchild by 2015″.

The launch was also attended by representatives of ADESSA and the Khanya Project.

Principals and guests marveled at the educational software products on show, as well as the official launch of the GetAhead School Project campaign by EvaluNet MD, Dereck Marnewick. 5-Star dining and live entertainment was also enjoyed by all.

Quoting Marnewick, “We believe education is a right, and not a privilege. We will continue with our mission of helping teachers and children until that right becomes a reality for each and every child in South Africa”.

The GetAhead School Project is an initiative whereby parents can purchase GetAhead educational software through the school for a discounted price. “The project has many benefits for the school, the teachers and the parents, but most importantly for the children,” said Marnewick during the launch of the project.
